FORCE SYSTEM

A force system may be defined as a collection of two or more forces acting an a body in a single plane or more planes.

Co-Planar  Forces are in same plane

Co - PLANAR COLLINEAR Forces are in same plane and lies on same line

Co- PLANAR CONCURRENT Forces are in same plane and meets at same point.

PLANAR LIKE PARALLEL  Force lie on same plane are parallel to each other and are in

same direction.

 

COPLANAR UNLIKE PARALLEL  Forces lie on same plane, are parallel to each other and are in opposite direction

COPLANAR NON-CONCORRENT NON-PARALLEL  Forces lie on same plane but neither they are concurrent, nor parallel.

NON - COPLANAR  When forces are in different planes.
